Learning To Carry Fire

So my husband Jarod makes me watch these survival shows. I try to sleep through them but then He bumps me and says "you have to watch this we may need this some day!" That thought is not encouraging to me but ever since the earthquake in Haiti that we were in, I don't have much to stand on. Inside I am still thinking I die and go be with Jesus then do some of the things they have done on these shows. :-)

The other night Jarod made me watch a show where they were surviving after a category 5 hurricane in Dominican Republic which is the country that shares the island with Haiti. At one point in the show they finally got a fire going and needed to keep the fire because they didn't know if it was going to be possible again to start another fire. They talked about how important fire is to survive. It's you food, water, warmth, protection, light, beakon for help, keeps you dry, and so much more.

The Holy Spirit started talking to me about how I always treated God. Instead of carrying the fire of God I always just believed when needed God will start another fire. God started talking to me about how now it's the time to carrying His fire. Don't get me wrong I am a "good christian", I read, pray, worship, tithe, and etc. but we are moving in a season where it's a requirement to have the ability to carry God's fire.

What would happen not only to us personally but to our work place, school, neighborhood, city, and etc., if we were able to carry God fire? Able to provide food, light, protection, be a beakon to those who need help by the fire of the Holy Spirit.

I don't know about you but I want that so bad. In the next few post I will share what has been shared with me about carrying the fire of God and the journey of learning to carry that fire.
